A smarter way to understand your body, built with privacy in mind.

How Saela is redefining what women can see about their own biology, with machine learning and a privacy-first design.

Most women's health products ask a woman to trust them with more of her information. Saela was designed around a different question: what has to be true about the architecture so that a woman can trust it in the first place.

The answer we arrived at is straightforward. Her health and chat data are stored separately from her identity. The link between the two lives only on her device. Saela does not sell user data. She can delete the link at any time and it is gone.

Everything else follows from that.

Why the architecture matters

A woman deciding whether to use a health product is not being paranoid when she asks where her information will go. She is asking a question the industry has, for years, given her reasons not to trust. The default consumer contract has been that in exchange for a useful feature, she gives up ownership of the pattern of her body. That contract does not work in a category where the information is this personal.

The industry answer has typically been longer privacy policies. The Saela answer is a different technical layout. Identity is one column. Health is another. The link between them is not stored on our servers. It is stored on hers. When she deletes the link, the pattern is not tied to a person anymore. This is not a marketing claim. It is what the code does.

What that lets the product be

Once the architecture is set up this way, the product can go further with interpretation without the tradeoff most consumers have learned to expect. Saela can read across her signals over time and give her a picture she can act on, because the interpretation is happening on top of a data layout that does not require her identity to be attached to it.

The result is a smarter way to understand her body, built on a design that starts from her ownership rather than her permission. What she is getting back is not a score. It is context. Context for her energy. Context for her sleep. Context for the conversation she is about to have with her doctor.

What we mean by intelligence

Saela uses AI to interpret her signals. That word is now used everywhere and means less every day, so it is worth being specific. Saela's intelligence is trained to read the pattern particular to her, not to score her against a population average. It updates as she updates. It gives her mechanism and outcome, not a vibe.

Intelligence, in the Saela sense, is what turns the raw information her body is producing into something legible to her, without asking her to hand over ownership of that information in exchange. Both parts have to be true. That is the product we are building.
